The Wylie High School Art students took the week of 9/11 to work on projects to honor our local first responders. The students spend time looking at images from 9/11 and hearing facts about the event. They decorated and created an american flag with images that represent our country and the first responders. The students had the opportunity to present the flag to our SRO Officer Cutbirth. He was proud to hang it in his office and said he will eventually take it to the Police Station. Students will finish out the week by creating art for our local firehouses and sending those off to let our Abilene Firefighters know how much we appreciate their work and dedication to our community.
