The Wylie school district is now accepting nominations for its Hall of Honor.
The Wylie Hall of Honor recognizes alumni, faculty, staff and community members who have made significant contributions to their school, community or society.
Anyone can nominate a candidate for the Hall of Honor; however, nominees should meet the following criteria:
Alumni cannot be nominated unless 10 years have passed since their attendance at Wylie. Faculty members are not eligible while they still are employed by the district.
The deadline to nominate is Aug. 1. The nominees will then go before a selection committee, which will choose the honorees.
The selection committee will consist of two Wylie staff members who have been with the district for at least 20 years, three community members who have lived in the district for at least 20 years and two administrators.
Those chosen for the Hall of Honor will be inducted during a ceremony at Homecoming this fall.
