Two Wylie individual swimmers and three Wylie relay teams qualified for the regional swim meet by placing in the top 4 at the district meet. The Wylie swimmers placed fourth as a team at the district meet.
Brenden Hernandez led the Wylie squad with a 2nd place finish in the 100 fly.
Tessa Fellona placed 3rd in the 100 back competition to also qualify individually for the regional meet.
Two Wylie boys relay teams finished 3rd in their races. The 200 Free Relay team included Brenden Hernandez, Jacob Heidema, Matthew Bost and Jared Heidema. The 200 Medley Relay team included Matthew Bost, Caden Sauley, Brenden Hernandez and Jared Heidema.
The girls 4×100 Relay team of Alicia Correa, Courtney Ellis, Lexie Kidman and Tessa Fellona placed 4th at district to also qualify for regionals.
These students will participate in the regional competition Feb. 5-6 in Lubbock. Congratulations to these Wylie swimmers, and good luck at regionals.
