Adrian Gurado-Velez, Max Thornton, Jett Wilson, and Liam Chapman (seen L-R) broke Wylie High School’s 800 relay record when they competed in the Region 1-5A meet in Lubbock on May 2. According to Wylie Bulldog Athletics, the foursome (no seniors) ran 1:28.3 in the preliminaries, breaking the school’s record of 1:29.47 and qualifying them for the finals.
