New Junior High Taking Shape

December 31, 2018

Work is progressing on the new Wylie East Junior High, which is scheduled to open in August 2019.

The building is starting to take shape on Colony Hill Road between Maple Street and FM 1750. The $35 million facility will house students in 5th through 8th grades who live east of US Highway 83/84.  It will include a library, gym, cafeteria, band and choir halls, practice fields and dressing rooms and tennis courts and a track.

Here are a few pictures of the construction.
