The Wylie Pure Gold Band has prepared many hours for this magical moment. On Nov. 1, the band traveled in the early morning hours from Lubbock (having performed at the football game against Lubbock Cooper the night before) to Andrews, TX to compete against 23 other schools in the UIL 5A-Div 2 Area Marching Band Competition. Their “Into the Unknown” show advanced to finals that evening with the band earning seventh place. Congratulations to all the members, staff and parents for a fantastic season. We are so proud to call you our own!
