Social Work

Most Impactful Activity, Class or Teacher

Probably band. I met most of my friends through it, and it helped me discover my love of music.

Most Cherished High School Memory

I always loved the bus rides home from football games. We were all so tired at the end of the night, and that led to some of the funnest times I’ve had.

Overcoming Challenge & The Lessons Learned

I am a naturally quiet person, but I had to take Mrs. Taylor’s Spanish class, where a large part of the grade was verbal participation. Having to speak in front of other people, especially in a language I was uncomfortable with, was definitely hard, but I got through it, and I am much more comfortable speaking in front of large groups because of it.

Advice on Succeeding in High School

Take the time to go out with your friends. If someone invites you to something, don’t hesitate to say yes. Those times with people will help form some fun memories to look back on later.

My Inspiration

My sister really inspires me. We are such polar opposites personality-wise, but she helps me to come out of my shell a lot, and I’m very thankful for that.

Proudest Accomplishment

Just making it this high in our class is something I’m really proud of. I put in a lot of work to get here, and I’m glad to see it has paid off.

Who Knew?

I really enjoy journalism. I took yearbook last year, and it was one of the most fun classes I’ve taken. I find that I really like to capture the moment. I spend a lot of time just thinking about the past, so some people may be surprised by the things I remember, even if it was something they told me a long time ago.

Thank You So Much

I’d really like to thank all my friends who pushed me to work hard, even when I was tired.
