My freshman year history class taught by Miss Snow taught me several life lessons. That class was a very big challenge for me, but it taught me if you want something, you have to chase it!
Most Cherished High School Memory
During my junior year, my fingers got slammed in the hinge of a door and ripped out my fingernails and broke my fingertips. Although I was in a lot of pain and upset, my friends and the community around me cheered me up every day and helped me humor the situation.
Overcoming Challenge & The Lessons Learned
A few months ago, I procrastinated from doing my National Honors Society hours until they were due in two weeks. I had to find somewhere to do fifteen hours, and the majority of the places I called said they weren’t accepting volunteers. I reached out to places I’d never heard of and got out of my comfort zone, and eventually I managed to get all my hours finished! I learned from this to not procrastinate and that you will find exactly where you’re meant to be! Since I had to be uncomfortable, I gained more friends and still got to volunteer for a great organization!
Advice on Succeeding in High School
Get involved, try new things, and stay true to yourself!
My Inspiration
My father is my biggest inspiration, no matter where I am in life, he’s always there for me and ready to listen to me.
Proudest Accomplishment
My favorite accomplishment has been being accepted into Texas A&M, that has been a goal for me for what feels like forever, so I could not be more excited and prouder of myself!
