Mrs. Hood’s wildflower project taught me to value patience and to find beauty in the overlooked! Like wildflowers, it made me realize that life is too finite to chase conformity and not to spend it with your loved ones.
Most Cherished High School Memory
Pulling an all-nighter packing presale orders and crying over how to buy and print USPS shipping labels. I ended up with a 3-meter-long USPS receipt at the end and a profound knowledge of shipping!
Overcoming Challenge & The Lessons Learned
During my sophomore year of high school, I used fake permanent blood that I bought from Spirit Halloween. It had completely destroyed and burned my face; however, the experience taught me that setbacks and misfortunes are really just blessings in disguise– and to always read the warning symbols on the back of products!
Advice on Succeeding in High School
Start side quests! They’re the best thing to ever exist, make your life more fun and enjoyable, and give you a wide range of skills you otherwise wouldn’t have had! Throughout high school, I did video editing, horticulture, art, graphic design, animation, tennis, spelling, photography, and even started a business! At the end of the day, “A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.”
My Inspiration
I truly believe that who you surround yourself with is a great reflection of character. This is why I get inspiration by surrounding myself with a great support system that isn’t afraid to chase their dreams and choose to live a virtuous life.
Proudest Accomplishment
I am most proud of starting a TXT keychain business and selling out on Shopify! It gave me a sense of fulfillment that no class or grade has ever given me. I was able to ship out my keychains to over 10 countries around the world and to actually experience how to run a business outside of classes playing Roblox simulators!
Who Knew?
I run a TXT editing account! It was what I looked forward to doing the most after school! It gave me a community to share my creativity with and lean back on. If you ever see one on social media, just know that that editor has probably spent hours of their own personal time and poured their heart, soul, and hours of being chronically online into the production of that edit!
