When I found out I was accepted as a pal. Being a pal has given me so much experience and made me grow as a person far more than I anticipated.
Overcoming Challenge & The Lessons Learned
I had to decide whether I wanted to continue taking band after freshmen year. It was a huge time commitment and was something I was choosing over other forms of expression, and choosing to not take it any longer ended up with me taking classes I am so grateful to have taken.
Advice on Succeeding in High School
I know everyone says this, but your grades do not determine your worth. I stressed way too much over quizzes and tests compared to just being comfortable with trying my best, and I am so glad to have learned that lesson. I wish I had learned it sooner.
My Inspiration
Seeing others in my community put forth so much effort in facets of life I could improve in inspires me.
Proudest Accomplishment
My growth as a person. I have gotten so much better at putting focus on actually important things in my life, like time spent with family and friends, along with being more open to unfamiliar experiences.
Who Knew?
I can solve a rubix cube in under 30 seconds.
