Advice for Underclassmen
The biggest thing I learned is to get involved in activities. This helps you get more connections as well as challenge new experiences.
A Proud Moment
My DI team was awarded first place for a section of our competition at the global level of competition last year. This was a hard-earned achievement for my whole team, and we spent months preparing for the competition. I am proud of this accomplishment because we worked together and placed ahead of teams from all over the world.
School Activity, Class or Teacher Impact
Destination Imagination (DI) is the activity that impacted me the most. I have participated in DI since fifth grade, and I was taught life lessons and learned many other social and technical skills.
Most Cherished High School Memory
My most cherished high school memory was when my DI team went to our last competition at the global level my freshman year. We traveled to Kansas City, Missouri and spent a week there. We competed, talked to the other teams, and spent time with my team.
Overcoming Challenge & Lesson Learned
A challenge I overcame was balancing school with all the activities I was in. There were times much worse than others, and I was overwhelmed. From those experiences, I learned how to manage time better, and my work ethic was strengthened.
My Inspiration
My family gives me inspiration because they had to endure tough times, and they are always providing for me. They support me and help me reach my goals.
Who Knew?
A hobby I have is collecting crystals and fossils. Over the years, I have added to my collection, and I got introduced to it by my brother when he started his own collection.
Gratitude Check
I would like to thank my family and friends. They have all helped me succeed in my activities, and I would not be here without them.
