Class of 2025 Graduates: #23 Kyler Pritchett

May 12, 2025

Hardin- Simmons University

Engineering Management

A Proud Moment?

Graduating in the top 25 of my class. There were a lot of times when my friends were hanging out or playing video games that I told them I couldn’t because I was studying. It’s nice to see a reward for that time I spent studying instead of hanging out.

School Activity, Class or Teacher Impact

The PALs class had the most impact on me. I really enjoyed being a PAL; I made a lot of great friends. It was very sweet to get the opportunity to mentor.

My Inspiration

Jesus. I never would have made it through high school without my relationship with Jesus. He has been so good to me and carried me when times get hard.

Most Cherished High School Memory

I remember one of the first away games this year got rained out and we had already drove all the way to the stadium. I think it was Brownwood, so it wasn’t a very long drive. My friends and I talked through the whole drive up there. We got off the buses and had to turn around and get back on because of the lightning. We stayed on the buses for about an hour waiting for the coaches to make a call. So, while we were on the bus we listened to the Eagles and just made the most of it. It was honestly a really chill, fun time.

Overcoming Challenge & Lessons Learned

My granddad died my senior year. He was the first person close to me that I lost, and I had to learn how to grieve and appreciate everyone that was there for me even though he couldn’t be anymore.

Advice for Underclassmen

Get involved in extracurriculars. Highschool is your time to try things and find out what you like. If you’re not good at something, it’s alright to fail either try again or try something else.

Who Knew?

I had never played bass before I joined the Jazz band.

Gratitude Check

My mom and dad, my brother Jayden, my grandparents, my family, my group leaders Nick and Jason, and my friends.
