More than 20 professionals come from all over the district and Wylie community to visit with students at Wylie East Elementary for its annual Career Week. Students enjoyed hearing about careers ranging from medicine to banking to journalism to serving in the military, to name a few. The guests also read a fun book to the students during this time.
Wylie board members, administrators, and other professionals within the district also joined in the fun for Career Week. Steve Hodges, who retired from school administration and now serves Wylie as a mail carrier, enjoys the opportunity to be back among students. “I loved coming to career week at Wylie East Elementary and visiting Mrs. Randell’s Kindergarteners. It was fun to tell them how the Wylie Pony Mail works.”
