We are having a wonderful year at West Elementary. We are happy to be back to normal and enjoy having our parents coming to school for lunch, programs, events, and special occasions.
HIGHLIGHTS TO RECOGNIZE:
• Fundraiser was a great success: we are making plans to enlarge the playground area
• Safety Protocols are a priority: continuing to teach with our doors locked, recently installed keyless entry to the large gym and hall leaving the office
• RTI Program striving to be the best: we are improving our interventions for struggling students and unifying and aligning the program with all campuses
• The Crisis Go App has been added to our Safety Procedures

OUR VETERAN’S DAY PROGRAM
The Second Graders on our campus had their Veterans Day Program on Friday, Nov. 11. The students performed several songs including “God Bless America” and a medley of each military branches’ song. Veterans were invited to stand when they heard their song. Student readers shared about the history of Veteran’s Day and honored guest veteran Mr. Price by sharing about his time while servicing our country and about his time when stationed at Dyess Air Force Base.
