ACTS OF KINDNESS CLUB
Wylie East Elementary has implemented an Acts of Kindness Club on our campus. Students are nominated by teachers and staff when they are spotted going above and beyond regular campus expectations and being especially kind to other bulldogs on campus. By the end of October this year, we already had 153 nominations who all received a phone call home about their act of kindness and were recognized on the morning announcements. Additionally, when a row fills up on our Acts of Kindness board, we draw a winner, and we have drawn 10 names so far. Winners get a goodie bag and their picture posted on our social media platforms. We love recognizing our kind kids at WEE!
BULLDOG SUCCESS NIGHT
Wylie East Elementary partnered with the Wylie PTO to host a Bulldog Success Night on October 25, 2022. Campus leaders, Caren Christian, Kristal Noble, and Cinnamon Thompson along with PTO Member, Carly Jackson, presented on fostering the partnership between parents and school to increase student success. Topics covered included technology tips, school safety updates, social and emotional learning, and academic success tips. Childcare was provided and food trucks were available for families to come grab dinner together before the informative meeting session started.
