LITTLEST BULLDOGS ARE BUSY BULLDOGS
The fall semester has been a very busy time for the students at the Wylie Early Childhood campus. From fire safety to picnics to zoo trips and the favorite Book Character Dress-up Day, we have been busy learning.
The Pre-K kids learned about our community leaders and how they do their job. Students loved learning about their trucks, equipment, and attire. The firefighters from Station 8 did a great job engaging students and including hands-on activities. Students learned about animals through a presentation from Young Audiences, who shared about life cycles and butterflies through singing and comedy. Students enjoyed a fun day at the zoo, too. Pk-3 students learned about the letter “P” by having a picnic and eating popcorn, potato chips, and pretzels. Then on Halloween, the students and staff when all out for Book Character Dress-Up Day, which is a favorite across the board.
Pre-K teacher Leah Pruitt said all students really enjoy showing-off their book. “Never have you seen kids more excited to hold a book down a hallway and showing off what they decided to dress like,” said Pruitt. “We let kids hold their favorite book if they weren’t able to dress up so they feel proud about showing that book off as well.”
