Wylie alumnus Jonah Bulls hosted his first art exhibit in November. What began as a project required to graduate from college not only became a perfectly visual extension of Bulls’ life-long interests but also a glance into his upcoming career.
As a child, Bulls said he has always enjoyed art and enjoys writing even more. Over time, he developed a passion for video editing, which has allowed him to combine his affinity for art and self expression with his passion for gaming.
This has led to him investing an extensive amount of time creating video reviews on his favorite game Nintendo’s Super Smash Brothers Ultimate. So, in addition to his photography, digital artwork and painting, Bulls was able to add these videos to his art collection.
Bulls, who graduated from Wylie in 2018, will graduate in December from McMurry University with a BA in Multimedia and Graphic Design. While working on his degree, Bulls has freelanced for Dr. Sandip Marther (author of “Cowboys and Indian” book series) and interned for Event Horizon Films; work from each is included in his exhibit. Bulls will soon begin a video project with Hollywood director/producer Jason Baumgardner for Hendrick Health about the importance of medical care in rural areas and begin work on a large personal project about Super Smash Brothers Ultimate.
