The Wylie School Board adopted its calendar for the 2017-18 school year at its April school board meeting.
The calendar is similar to years’ past, with school starting on Monday, Aug. 21, and ending on Thursday, May 24. Students have school holidays on Sept. 4 for Labor Day, Oct. 9 for Columbus Day, Nov. 22-24 for Thanksgiving, Dec. 22-Jan. 5 for Christmas, Jan. 15 for Martin Luther King Day, Feb. 19 for President’s Day, March 12-16 for Spring Break and March 30 for Good Friday.
April 27 is a bad weather day and will be a day off if not used for bad weather.
School releases early on Nov. 21, Dec. 20-21 and May 23-24.
Students will go to school for 173 days – 84 in the fall and 89 in the spring.
