Cameron McClellan is chasing a dream! The Wylie West Junior High teacher, who taught theater arts and ELA, recently stepped out of the classroom to pursue performing full time.
“I’ve always overall loved the vibe of Universal Studios and Disney World,” says McClellan. “The way the cast members are working as if they are always ‘on stage’ creating memorable experiences for their guests.”
Just arriving in Florida mid-August, McClellan says she is starting from “square one” and working at Universal Studios as a park attendant, but auditioning on the side for Disney’s Entertainment, Universal’s Entertainment, and Full Stage shows. “I’m super excited to see what opportunities come my way. I loved teaching with my whole heart, but what kind of teacher would I be if I told my students to follow their dreams and was too afraid to do it myself?”
