The Wylie Pure Gold Band started practicing in early August for this year’s halftime show. The band battled 100-degree days, drinking plenty of water. Wylie fans will finally get to see the band perform locally on Sept. 20 at Shotwell Stadium, and the band will make its 2019 debut in Bulldogs Stadium on Sept. 27 for Homecoming.
