During the final home game of the season, Wylie Football honors a senior player who exemplifies dedication, desire and determination. On Nov. 7, center Barrett Huffington was selected for this honor.
Barrett reflected on the honor of being selected for the award.
“It shines a spotlight on all the hard work I did behind the scenes.”
Barrett credits bible verse 2 Cor. 12:10 as an inspiration throughout his final football season. He is the son of Mark and Dayna Huffington. The Huffington family is all in for Wylie. In addition to Barrett, their sophomore twins Creed and Alexa participate in Friday night lights with Creed as mascot Spike and Alexa as Belles manager. Their oldest son, Logan, also served in the role of mascot before graduating in 2023.
